I loved being able to alert the family if my mom is having a bad day. The saying is true, “If Momma ain’t happy, then nobody happy.” These queues are essential when you know you should have done your chores a couple days ago, now today is the day to do them, before you are asked.

Just kidding, but these are always fun to play with because you can choose which parent it applies to. You could even customize them to have different children’s names, different moods, or maybe even different emotion faces.

They can be found in the new “Crafts” section or in “New Items”, to customize you will have to order through the design center.

Fabric Paint with Stencils

Rather than making a graphic t-shirt with a bleach pen, you can use fabric paint. Fabric paint comes in so many different packages and a safe way to paint on fabric is to go slow and use a foam brush. Again this is very kid friendly as long as you monitor how much fabric paint is used (you don’t want to slather too much on).

Next time we will talk about another type of fabric paint. Fabric Spray Paint!!

DIY Kit

Vinyl Stencils

Last week we tried out using stencils on t-shirts and other types of fabric. Slowly we will demonstrate the different methods we used and the results we achieved.

Today, the photos shown show using a stencil and a bleach pen.

A good benefit is that it is a good project to do with your children, as long as they are old enough to color in the lines, of course.

Have you ever walked into a store and seen a lot of quotes on the walls? There was one in my hometown, and I absolutely loved walking around the store and as I was browsing I would get the giggles at some of the quotes that I thought were so clever.

Well Trisha Clark from Utah had the same thought for her store, Bumbleberry Gifts.

She has multiple quotes from Vinyl Craft Lettering on her walls, and we love it.

Take Your Child To Work Day

Today is “Take your child to work day” and in celebration of this day I’m sharing a picture of my daughter and me at my desk. As a stay at home mom who also has a home based business, every day is take your child to work day. I feel blessed to have my sweet daughter on my lap as I work. It’s hardly ever easy to juggle being a full time mom and running a business at the same time but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Note: Eileen is a mother of three, Wyatt, Dylan, and Lalia.
